Red Hat OpenShift Administration II: Configuring a Production Cluster (DO280) prepares OpenShift Cluster Administrators to perform daily administration tasks on clusters that host applications provided by internal teams and external vendors, enable self-service for cluster users with different roles, and deploy applications that require special permissions such as such as CI/CD tooling, performance monitoring, and security scanners. This course focuses on configuring multi-tenancy and security features of OpenShift as well as managing OpenShift add-ons based on operators.
Audience profile
This course is designed for system administrators, system architects and developers who want to install and configure red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
Pre-requisites
Before attending this course, delegates must:
- Have taken Red Hat System administration I and II (RH-124 and RH-134) course; or have equivalent knowledge on Red Hat system administration
- Have attended the Introduction to Containers, Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift (DO-180) course or have equivalent knowledge
Course objectives
As a result of attending this course, you should be able to install, configure, and manage a Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster and deploy applications on it.
You should be able to demonstrate these skills:
- Install OpenShift Container Platform to create a simple cluster
- Configure and manage OpenShift masters and nodes
- Secure OpenShift with a simple internal authentication mechanism
- Control access to resources on OpenShift
- Deploy applications on OpenShift using Source-to-Image (S2I)
- Configure and manage OpenShift pods, services, routes, secrets, and other resources

This course together with RED HAT OPENSHIFT ADMINISTRATION I: OPERATING A PRODUCTION CLUSTER (DO-180) will prepare delegates to take the Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in OpenShift Administration EX-280 exam.
The Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator exam (EX280) tests the knowledge, skills, and ability to create, configure, and manage a cloud application platform using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
By passing this exam, you become a Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator that also counts towards earning a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA®)
