GDPR Awareness Overview
The GDPR regulation came into effect on 25 May 2018.
Many treat this as just another compliance matter but the growth in the digital economy and changing expectations of the public means it’s an opportunity to make data privacy matter and build a data privacy culture within organizations.
One of the biggest risks for a personal data breach are an organization’s own employees – if employees do not understand how to manage personal data, there is a greater risk of data breach. Getting individuals to think about the GDPR in the context of their own data will help them to engage with the practices in your organization.
This one-day awareness training course incorporates interactive sessions with real-life examples to help build understanding, stimulate interest and gain commitment to changing their organization’s culture. Through their engagement in this course, participants will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for making a difference. It references the latest guidance from the UK Information Commissioners Office (ICO), so individuals can stay up-to-date once they leave the classroom.
