Learnerships Overview

A Learnership is a structured learning programme that combines theoretical knowledge with practical workplace experience, leading to a nationally recognized qualification aligned to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Learnerships develop critical skills while providing learners with real-world work experience, making them highly employable upon completion.

QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) is the quality assurance body responsible for occupational qualifications in South Africa. QCTO ensures that Learnership programmes meet rigorous standards and that qualifications are industry-relevant, competency-based, and aligned with workplace requirements.

MICT SETA (Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority) plays a crucial role in facilitating skills development across various industries in South Africa, working collaboratively with training providers to ensure quality programme delivery and learner support.
