INTRODUCTION

AWS Technical Essentials introduces you to AWS products, services, and common solutions. It provides you with fundamentals to become more proficient in identifying AWS services so that you can make informed decisions about IT solutions based on your business requirements and get started working on AWS.

AUDIENCE PROFILE

It is assumed that the learner is competent in skills gained at the further education and training band up to NQF level 2

  • Further learning assumed is that learners are competent in End User Computing at NQF level 1.

 

PREREQUISITES

The learner must be competent in:

  • Skills gained at the Further Education and Training band.
  • Computer Studies an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Computer Literacy, Communication and Mathematical literacy at NQF level 4.


QUALIFICATION RULES

This qualification is made up of fundamental, core and elective unit standards and a minimum of 130 credits is required to complete the qualification:

  • Skills gained at the Further Education and Training band.
  • Fundamental unit standards totalling 47 credits are compulsory (with communication in two different South African languages).
  • Elective unit standards totalling a minimum of 27 credits needs to be completed.
